Nestled amidst the lush landscapes of Hawaii’s Big Island, the Hilton Grand Vacation Clubs Kings’ Land Waikoloa offers a luxurious escape that blends modern comfort with the island’s natural beauty. This is one of those places my family returns to over and over (and we’ve been every year since 2017). My recent stay at this resort was nothing short of spectacular, leaving me with memories to cherish for a lifetime. Honestly, I already have my next trip booked (hello October!)
From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the warm aloha spirit of the staff, who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was unforgettable. Don’t forget to mention if you’re celebrating anything special – years ago, we went here right after our wedding, and they had a bottle of champagne for us! The check-in process was seamless (checking in on the app is a breeze), and I was promptly given the room keys and all the information I needed to find my 1 bedroom suite.12
Each of the rooms is a haven of relaxation, boasting contemporary Hawaiian-inspired décor and all the amenities one could desire. The fully equipped kitchen allowed me to whip up meals with local ingredients sourced from nearby markets (I mean who needs to eat out when you’ve got fresh poke from the market at your fingertips), while the private lanai offered breathtaking views of the surrounding golf course and volcanic landscapes. we had a corner room most recently, and were able to also see one of the many pools from our room.
One of the highlights of my stay was the resort’s expansive pool area, featuring multiple pools, waterfalls, barbeque pits, family events, firepits, and more. Whether I was lounging poolside with a tropical cocktail in hand or enjoying a refreshing swim, I found myself completely immersed in paradise. One of the BIG perks – you can go down to the main Hilton Waikaloa resort (which costs much more AND charges for parking) for free. Yes, as a member of the Hilton Grand Vacations Club property, your stay gets you free access to everything the main Hilton resort has to offer.
Overall, this is a great place to stay for families, or those groups that really want a full kitchen and in room washer/dryer. It’s also much more affordable than the other hotel options in the Waikaloa area. For those seeking adventure, the Hilton Kings’ Land Waikoloa offers a plethora of activities to suit every interest. From championship golf courses and tennis courts to guided hikes and cultural experiences, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Dining options at Kings’ Land are minimal (there’s a grab and go food place by the pool along with a bar), but the whole point of staying here is so that you actually use your kitchen. If you want restaurants – there are plenty to choose from in Waikaloa (we always end up at Roy’s). Or, if you want a spot of resort cuisine, pop on over to the Hilton Waikaloa where there are multiple cuisines on offer.
Overall, my experience at the Hilton Kings’ Land Waikoloa exceeded all expectations, as it always does. The impeccable service, luxurious accommodations, and breathtaking surroundings truly made for an unforgettable getaway. Whether you’re seeking relaxation, adventure, or simply a taste of paradise, this resort has it all. I can’t wait to return and create more cherished memories with my family – October can’t come soon enough.
