As a mom who’s baby started solids around 4 months – these are my top picks to make mealtimes easier and more fun. Think dishwasher safe, easy cleanup, and fun ways for baby to practice hand eye coordination and stay interested in new foods.
1. Dr. Brown’s Silicone Feeder
- Easy to fill with mashed fruit, yogurts, purees, etc. – this feeder is perfect to keep your baby safe from choking hazards, while letting them explore solids!
- Convenient handle lets baby practice hand eye coordination – and have a little bit of control over mealtime.
2. Silicone Dinner Set (2 Pack)
- These were a hit in our house, so much so we had to order 2 sets!
- The silicone plates have suction cups, and the utensils are the perfect size and texture for curious babies.
- The cups are sized just right for babies, and the curved edge lets them practice drinking water like a big kid.
3. Baby Popsicle Molds (2 Pack)
- These are the perfect size and shape for babies to explore frozen foods!
- Great for teething babies, you can freeze yogurt, baby purees, and breastmilk.
4. Waterproof, Long Sleeved Baby Bibs
- This 4 pack of baby bibs comes in the cutest patterns, and they’re waterproof!
- Learning to eat is always messy – minimize the cleanup with these long sleeved bibs.
- Bonus: if your babe hates wearing traditional bibs, this one may feel more like clothes – so they may like this one better.
5. Silicone Reusable Baby Food Pouches
- While reviewers didn’t find these perfect (and what item is truly baby proof) – they are incredible value for the money.
- If you make your baby’s food – it comes with a little funnel to help fill the containers (although reviewers noted thicker foods like yogurts were harder to get through the funnel).
- Convenient, dishwasher safe, and fairly priced – these are a must if you make your own baby food!
